Woodcut Fleur De Lis

You can use Gimp or Photoshop or some other image editor to change the colors of this wood cut Fleur De Lis.

Or you can download my SVG version of this art piece here (SVG is a vectorized image --- use the free program Inkscape or other SVG editor to change it up.) The SVG version can be scale up or down without appreciable loss of quality.

Fleur full

This is a Fleur de Lis motif that I played with the interior on. Gives it a feeling of depth. I left the ragged edges to give the feeling of a stamp.

Fleur de Style

A more elongated and stylized Fleur de Lis that we have shown so far. To me this has a musical feel to it.

Crackled past

How about a crackled Fleur de Lis. I'll be you could walk through hundreds of homes in New Orleans, not to mention France and find time-crackled symbols such as these --the real things. To me it was a matter of using a few filters in the photo editor.

The Purlple and Gold Fleur de Lis

This is my derivative of a Wikipedia image (Raster version drawn by User:Jahernan, vectorized by User:Interiot usi). I have a SVG image of this. Iwill put it up on the internet soon as I can figure how to get a link to it so you can download it.

It has a heradlic feeling to it. I kind of like the purple in gold. Shows off my LSU roots.

Fleur de Lis at Old State Capitol

The Fleur De Lis that line the top of the iron fence at the Louisiana Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge. The symbol is thought by many to represent the white-flowered form of Iris germanica.

Perfection, light and life

Why stick to the same old Fleur de Lis. I thought I would play around with it a little in Gimp. This was the result.

According to FleurDeLis.com the meaning in French is flower of the lily. As a symbol of the French Royalty is signifies "perfection, light and life."

Mark survives after hopping ocean

The Coat of Arms symbol of the French monarchy, the Fleur de Lis haslived through the centuries.  In time it hopped the ocean and became a mark of note for the New Orleans region.

Plump Style

This plump, but bland looking Fleur de Lis doesn't betray the styling that is built into it. Kind of understated, no?

Fleur de Food

I saw this at a recovery site in New Orleans. I thought it was a clever use of the Fleur de Lis in a logo.

Guarded optimism

I begin this blog of daily Fleur de Lis with this fence ornament. The paint is weathered but the FDL stands its guard, nonetheless.
